Art Exhibition: Roland Richardson

Roland Richarson exhibition at Casino Royale St Maarten

Venerable Caribbean Impressionist Artist Roland Richardson is a St. Martin treasure, whose own heritage embraces six generations on the island. Like Monet at Rouen Cathedral, Richardson is fond of painting the same scene over and over from the same viewpoint at La Samanna.

Born May 18, 1944 in Marigot on St. Martin, Roland Richardson is recognized today as one of the Caribbean's premier artists. His works of art encompass many of the classic mediums including oil, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and etching.

Starting June 2007 his work will be a permanent part of Casino Royale in St Maarten.
